Brutal axings, picking yourself up again, those celebrities stories...
The axings at the X Factor last night were quite brutal... so sad that the Amelia got the chop. Absolutely loved her Pink-like rock chick attitude... Kelly had the hardest decision to make.
Think Tulisa did a superb but brutal job putting together The Risk... I know manufactured bands aren't very rock 'n roll but some of them make fantastic pop songs... like the JLS lads.
But the ads... far too many - thank heavens for fast forward!
Because we had dinner at friends last night we only had time to catch X-F when we got home - looking forward to catching up on Downton when I have a mo’. It was a lovely proper roast chicken dinner with stuffing and everything. First proper 'roastie' of autumn.
Also looking forward to my showbiz slot on Let's Talk Sex tonight (Sky Channel 275 at 1045 pm) - the presenter Helen Croydon and I have so much to chat about tonight!
FYI - It's World Mental Health Week - we forget our mental and emotional health is as important as our physical health. We MOT our cars but don't MOT our minds. Look after yourself and seek help if you're struggling with any mental health issues. There are many services available for all sorts of issues - unfortunately sometimes you have to dig around to find them.
TODAY’S TIP: thinking back to 'getting the ax' - with the recession this is happening to many good, talented, qualified people. It's horrible.
The first thing you need to do is give yourself a couple days to lick your wounds. After that you need to plan a strategy to get back on your feet. One goal at a time to pick yourself up and dust yourself down.
It can be done and ultimately the bad things that's happened will have a silver lining...one day you'll look back and see your achievements when you were faced with adversity
Happy Monday, Pam x
