Should be more guarded, listen to your inner dialogue...
In today's Express newspaper I've commented on why a bodyguard might have an affair with a woman that he's responsible for. People in those positions don't cross that line easily. Alan Johnson's bodyguard should've been more guarded when it came to having an affair with Laura Johnson - I'm sure he probably regrets it now.
In my work I hear of people crossing all sorts of lines that they shouldn't. What's fascinating is listening to them describe what they were thinking when they were crossing that line... it's as if they had one voice telling them not to and another telling them to go ahead.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: We humans have this amazing capacity for internal dialogues with ourselves. If only we'd listen to the voice that's saying, "no, don't do it, you'll regret it!" more often. If you're in that situation right now please do continue that internal dialogue with yourself before making a hasty decision that you cannot take back.
20-20 hindsight is a painful thing - at that point you're asking yourself, "what was I thinking? Why did my do it?"
Family dropped in last night so we couldn't watch the comedy awards - hope to squeeze them in tonight.
Looking forward to The Vaccines album out in March as I'm loving Post Breakup Sex - as I said when I first heard them a few months ago - they remind me of the Ramones.
Have a happy Monday, Pam X
