Can't put a foot right...
Wow, it seems Obama and Cameron can't put a foot right - no matter what they say they've both come under attack. Some of the US press think Obama gives too much and some of the Brit press thinks Cameron gives too much.
It's an impossible job they're facing with world problems on a soaring scale. Would you want to do it? I sure wouldn't! I find my own problems tricky enough. But wouldn't you just hate having everyone attack everything you do - it's like you can't please anyone - let alone everyone. I'm convinced though they both have their hearts in the right place - they are two men determined to make a difference and I hope they do.
Talk about 'calamity Clegg' - a small catalogue of disasters for his first Question Time in the House of Commons yesterday. Now, he really was getting things wrong from the legality of the war in Iraq to detention centre mayhem...hmmm, don't think he's too proud of his debut!
I'll be posting up a new "your e-mail of the week" later today - still time to e-mail me on my homepage.
I forgot to mention that it was fab to hear The XX being nominated for a Mercury prize as I said yesterday - everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon - and I flagged up about five months ago. V lucky to have contacts in the music biz so hear lots of good music before it comes out.
On a lighter note in my Love it! Magazine column this week one of the dilemmas of a tackle is about a woman whose boyfriend is hung up on her giving him private lap dances. Isn't that just the thing with men? You do one thing in bed for them as a "treat" and then they want to be treated to it all the time!
Yikes, I wouldn't want to be Jennifer Aniston with a crazy stalker wanting to have my baby. She's put on a brave face but I'm sure inside it's a different story.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if someone won't leave you alone you've got to let others know. I've seen people go weeks or months with someone harassing and stalking them before they say anything about it. Never suffer in silence when it comes to stalking!
Take care, Pam X
