Fairytales, emotional sunshine...
It's Thursday and I've just posted a new "your e-mail of the week" later on. It's from Amanda and her boyfriend has a little habit that is causing rows...I think it's actually her problem.
Had a call This Morning TV about maybe doing an item tomorrow and then they decided not to do it - that's the thing about TV, things change moment by moment.
Omg, it's so grey outside my window - definitely needed something that reminds me of the summer so Example’s album Won't Go Quietly kickstarted my morning... if you need a burst of ‘emotional sunshine’ that album will do it! Or whatever your choice of emotional sunshine is you might need it on such a grey day.
If you're a parent you've probably noticed some debate about classic old-fashioned fairytales. In today's Express I've written a piece about how beneficial they are to your children. Of course there are some stereotypes that don't apply any more but you can only talk around them - like letting your daughter that princesses don't have to be rescued!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: the wonderful thing about fairytales is they allow you to discuss all sorts of things from jealousy (the wicked stepmother) to the vulnerable overcoming their trials (Hansel and Gretel, the three little pigs, etc.).
A lot of parents nowadays don't seem to have time to chat about the big themes of life and fairytales provide an opportunity. Children are always enthralled by a happy ending where the vulnerable overcome the evil-doers at all costs.
Had fun at the Spirit and Destiny shoot yesterday... all will be revealed...I think June issue. Then again if you're psychic you'll be able to predict what this is.
Laters, till when I post a new e-mail of the week, Pam X
