Don't get your knickers in a twist over Elton, spoil children, what's disturbing...
Took over a small restaurant in Fulham last night with 17 family members - don't think they know what hit them. It was fab – stuck the eight children on a separate table from the nine adults...er, does that mean I was on the children's table with my childish sense of humour??
We watched Russell Crowe's The Next Three Days - as a group we were split - thought the beginning was rubbish at the tension sure mounted as Russell's character desperately sought a way to spring his wife from jail. Not sure if it's even going to be released here.
Why are so many commentators getting their knickers in a twist about Elton John and his hubby David Furnish adopting a baby boy? Yup, Elton’s a touch on the ye olde side to become a first-time dad but David is no older than 1 million fathers. Elt’s also been clean living for years and I'm sure has much love in his heart to give.
My only concern? As with all rich parents that they don't spoil and indulge their offspring. Nothing’s worse than a child doesn't know the value of love that the value of their designer gear.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: it's not only rich parents I've seen spoil their children with all the latest gear, but middle-class and less well-off parents, too. And it's not very pleasant to see.
Think twice before you indulge their material-girl or boy whims - no matter what they’re thinking when their mouth’s drooling over the latest mobile phone, etc., they want, learning that you can't satisfy every impulse to own something is a lesson for life.
What's disturbing from planet-celeb is Hugh Hefner at 84 marrying a girl 60 years younger! So what does she see in the ageing multimillionaire?? I've dated a couple much older men in my time but not 60 years! 25 years older was the oldest and he seemed positively ancient.
Just enjoying Linkin Park’s A Thousand Suns (especially The Catalyst) while working this morning. Happy Wednesday, Pam X
