Mums behaving badly...
Very excited as one of my three older brothers arrives today for a five-day visit – ‘house guest season’ is upon us. He visits every May from the States and we always have loads of frolick 'n' fun - tonight we're going to our fave fish and chip restaurant, tomorrow night we're taking him to We Will Rock You, Saturday we're having a bbq for him – yay, I get to poison pals! Only kidding! And we’ll be off to some gallery at some point - will report any good exhibition we see.
I was thinking of mums behaving badly after a survey report in the press today - I've been there and seen that on the school run when my children were younger. Mums are by nature competitive - after all they only do what they think's best to protect and facilitate their offspring. So, some bad behaviour like gossiping and slagging each other off behind each other's backs isn't surprising.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: it's a shame, though, because when you've got children you need other mothers more than ever. Who else can understand what you're going through - from when your toddler has tantrums to when your teen has tantrums!
Try and be a little more gracious to the other mums on the school run - you never know when you might need their support. Heavens knows I've needed other mothers support at times!
I've just posted a new "your e-mail of the week" in a bit - take a look as it might be yours! It's about the love for a pet dog coming between a couple. Just click on the 'gold star' on my homepage to read or send your email to me.
Has there ever been more hype than for Sex in the City mock 2?? Yup, and my pals and I are going to succumb and go see it soon. One of my pals I had lunch with yesterday is going to the Premiere tonight and I'm so envious of her being within 10 paces of Mr Big - Chris North ticks a lot of my boxes and I'm loving him in The Good Wife.
