Happy news, keep loved ones close, cold tip....
I fear for the Libyan people as Gadaffi is displaying the signs of a severely disturbed man - and his daring leader.
But I have a happy topic to report - have had an e-mail from Sophie who was just proposed to by her boyfriend of three years having just been given the all-clear in her battle with breast cancer. I'm not going to post her e-mail (I post a new e-mail every Thursday - click on the gold star on my homepage) as it was full of personal references and I'm rushing to a meeting. It brought a tear to my eye because she's been through such a struggle and he's held her hand all the way. Congratulations to them both!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if you're going through a personal struggle right now please hold tight to the person or people who mean most to you. Even if you find it hard to talk about the power of their love and affection will help.
Over to a quote from today's papers: I have always thought Colin Firth was a dream, the real stuff of fantasies particularly as he rose out of the lake in Pride and Prejudice in the early days of his career. However I pity his poor wife when he says that the only reason why he remains faithful is because she is so beautiful. No pressure on her then!? Wow, imagine having to live up to staying beautiful for all those years - so far they've had 15 years together - or else he might stray.
Loving The Vaccines' new tune If You Wanna
Despite still having my head cold (I've become very close to a tub of Vicks I've been so blocked-up – lovely - not!) managed to meet up last night with that group of gal pals at Soho House... a tough group to get together as they all work different hours so I didn't want to wimp out. If you're bunged up try wiping some Vicks on a warm, damp face cloth - and lay it on your chest - really helps!
Short and sweet today as it's wall-to-wall meetings, happy Tuesday, Pam X
