When you enter a relationship do you sign up for changes in your partner...
Wow, fast-paced and lively on Davenport After Dark last night on Dublin newstalk radio... some very racy dilemmas coming through - from condoms, to anal sex, to fetishes - you name it we discussed it.
Beforehand caught some of the Xfm Nevermind programme - the tracks, the tributes - that album came out at a time of great change for me - it was/is so raw, so real and yet such fine musicianship.
Ahhh, Cheryl Cole's pictured with her soldier - what a hunk - she should give him that call she's been talking about!
Otherwise didn't want to read any news - what with black Thursday yesterday and about four Euro nations under threat - wanted to slam shut the newspapers.
I've just posted a new article on "hot off the press" on my homepage about when you sign up for a relationship do you also sign up for the changes that are bound to happen in your partner and your relationship?
And of course you change too - we're all bound to change - sometimes for better, sometimes for worse and in all sorts of ways - from our physical appearance to our temperament. Check out the article if this resonates with you.
TODAY’S TIP: go into relationships with your eyes wide open to change. What you have now is bound to change.
I often use the phrase "expect the unexpected" because that's how life can be - and that includes your relationships.
You're foolish to think you can keep everything in your life the same - including your partner - it doesn't work that way.
The key is to talk about changes as they arise. Don't secretly hope that someone's going to "change back”, or change in the way you want them to, etc.
Get talking about it - and don't be frightened of it. Fear breeds more problems!
Hope you're planning a lovely weekend. If you want a good but non-challenging read to start this weekend try One Day - finally got around to reading it like two years after everyone else!
Not sure if I want to see the film though - if you've read the book I hear it's a disappointment.
Happy Friday, Pam x
