Am recovering well - tucked up at home now - thanks for so many well wishes on my "your e-mail of the week"!
But I'll be quick before I get back to daytime telly and the box of chocs the family gave me.
So on The Apprentice (that I've just watched off the planner with a gale outside the window) slightly befuddled and bewildered Alex got the chop from Lord Sugar last night. About time too - he doesn't really have a bad bone in his body but talking about believing your own publicity - he thought he could mastermind anything including the Germinator (a good idea in principle) advertising campaign that became a car crash.
What on earth's got into Gordon Ramsay sending an open letter to his mum-in-law? All families have rifts (blimey with three older - and bossy - but also lovely brothers we certainly have - thankfully not like this helluva bust-up Gordon's having) but you’re not going to heal it by spilling your guts to the press mid-rift! You need time, patience, understanding, and privacy to fix things.
He needs a life coach… I'll send him my number.

It's heartbreaking when you see the young, dusty, grimy faces at work in Afghanistan and previously Iraq - I hope and pray each one makes it home safely.
