Sex and Love Academy later today, happy news for some, body image issues ...
Later today I fling open the doors my fortnightly Sun online Sex and Love Academy ...it's a good life late today... lots of top tips for you to try.
Lovely to see Gail Porter doing so well after a turbulent time... obviously my background is in mental health issues and I know how some people are tormented on and off by things like oppression, stress and anxiety. You can only wish the best for people suffering in the way and hope they can live one day at a time.
Another celebrity in the news for happy reasons is Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes - pregnant again after the tragic loss of their son earlier this year.
My heart goes out to any parent who's lost a baby or child. I simply can't imagine it and if you've been through this I hope you're getting lots of support from your partner, friends and family. Please don't suffer on your own!
On a completely different note I can't wait to see the Inbetweeners movie - I love a good juvenile comedy - just hope it's not as disappointing as The Hangover 2 - which was the last comedy film I went to see - and almost walked out on it - such rubbish.
Getting ready to go away for 2 1/2 weeks Sunday night... hiking in some mountains, rolling on some beaches Stateside... next year I don't want to take a summer holiday so late in the summer (summer? I forgot we haven't had – flippin’ freezing this morning!).
Loving Spector - their sound, their look - heard them interviewed on XFM recently and wish I was going to Reading - would love to see them - but can't as I'm flying in a couple days - can't do it all!
Emily emailed me about her body image issues. I'm not going to post another "your e-mail of the week" since I posted one yesterday but it's something that affects a huge number of women and men.
I did a big piece of research into it and it really brings people down...some go to extraordinary lengths to cover their body in disguise lumps and bumps.
TODAY’S TIP: my top tip is to resist thinking about any lumps and bumps you have or think you have.
Fight the urge to go over them in your mind - fretting and worrying.
Refocus on yourself as a whole person - your best personality traits - hang on to those!
This is all about restructuring the way you think about yourself - nothing more, nothing less.
Appreciate yourself, take care, woot, it's Friday! Pam x
