X Factor personalities, silly celebrity men, harsh discipline...
I didn't realise my article on the ‘X Factor Effect’ had gone live on MSN's Life & Style Channel. They asked me to explain the what sort of personality would be driven to go on the X Factor - potentially facing the worst type of humiliation. Plus how the experience might affect them.
It's a fascinating thing - wanting to go in front of millions of people and show off a probably pretty p-poor quality voice. I wouldn't torture people with mine - can't sing a note. In fact if the hubby catches me humming/singing the very sweetly asks me to stop - it's that painful.
Gaawwd, another celebrity man thinking he can get away with racy tweets! What was Jason Manford thinking? That he would be the 'special one' who didn't get caught out? When will these guys and learn?
Am posting that "your e-mail of the week" in a moment - oops was supposed to go up yesterday. It's from Emmaline who's concerned about the way her sister disciplines her child. Emmaline thinks it's far too harsh and I have to agree with her. A very touchy but necessary subject to tackle.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: a child's safety should always come first - don't worry about sparing your embarrassment - if you need to tackle the family or friend do so in a calm way. If it's a neighbour you're worried about then you may have to get on to the confidential child safety line.
Far better to be safe - and be accused of being nosy - then to turn a blind eye.
Forgot to say how great it was to catch a bit of The National on Zane Lowe's show the other night… they keep going and never give up. Would luuurrrvvvve to catch Biffy Clyro supported by the FutureHeads at Wembley in early December but it looks like clashing with something I've got to do.
Hope you have that fabulous Friday feeling, Pam x
