Marriage, living apart, relationships make the world go round...
Sibling rivalry has been on everyone's lips with the Miliband brothers and today I've written a piece for the Express Newspaper about this very topic. If it's going on in your family (maybe you feel rivalry to a brother or sister or maybe you're a parent worried about this in your children) take a look at my advice.
Going to have fun today doing lots of radio: At 840 this morning I'm looking forward to doing an interview on the breakfast show on BBC Radio Cumbria about couples who live apart despite having children, etc. I once worked with a couple who were planning to do that (and this is different than being in a long-distance relationship because we're talking about two people who live in the same town) and we devised strategies to help make it a success.
Straight after that at 850 I'm chatting to Alfie and Charlie on BBC Radio Newcastle about whether or not it's important to be married if you have children. A subject close to my heart as I've mentioned before. Alfie and Charlie are fab co-presenters and our chats are usually lively.
Then at 10:10 I'm talking to Ronnie on BBC Radio Three Counties about relationships - people can never get enough of hearing about others relationships. And let's face it, if you're not interested in relationships - at least a little bit - then you're some sort of robot.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: thinking about my chat on Radio Newcastle, ultimately research says that children get a better start if their parents are married. But I know plenty of couples who have cohabited without marrying and raised perfectly happy children. For me, I'm marrying type, but that doesn't work for everyone.
I forgot to mention I finally saw this week’s episode of the Inbetweeners - in other classic episode. Maybe not quite as good as the first two but, still, the four lads' antics take me all the way back to high school. Yup, I can remember those days!
Take care, Pam X
