Anger management and prize pr*ts...
If you've got problems with anger then take my quick quiz in today's Express newspaper. I've always had a bit of a "fiery nature" but learned long ago how to manage it - I'm sure the Hubster is very happy about that! But my quiz should give you a guide as to your ‘anger profile’ and some advice to improve things.
The gang was over and we watched the film Brothers last night - Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire star in a gripping drama of one ‘good’ brother who goes to Afghanistan and one ‘bad’ brother who's come out of prison. But good and bad get mixed up as so often is the case in real life. I won't spoil the plot if you haven't seen it (not even sure if it’s out yet).
TODAY’S THOUGHT: we love to see things in black and white - it's human nature - because it makes the world more orderly and manageable. But so often it's the shades of grey that count when it comes to human dilemmas. Which is why I'm always a bit sceptical of someone who takes an absolute hard line on an issue - particularly when they don't know all the facts. I try and stop myself from making black and white judgments - and you'd be surprised when you start thinking about your opinion or point of view - particularly when it comes to human dilemmas - how one-sided things can get.
But there’s one man in the press who deserves a one-sided point of view and that's John Terry - what a prize pr*t (excuse my language)! The man knows nothing of boundaries and certainly doesn't know right from wrong. What must he be like to treat his childhood sweetheart (now his wife)and his children this way? His wife would be better off without him. Get out while you can and before he does anything else to damage your self-esteem with his continuing selfish behaviour. He's now got a track record and it isn't a pretty one!
It's Monday so that means getting together with a pal unless she's stuck with the new snow that hit some areas around London. Make your Monday happy by at least chatting to a friend on the phone. That's my lifeline!
Take care, Pam X
