Nosey neighbours, your party frock and your personality, yay Stella, sexy knickers...
I've checked in on people who aren't particularly mobile and this weather's incredibly isolating to them. Please be a nosy neighbour (I always think of Paul Whitehouse playing Michael Caine when I use this phrase) and check on others.
In today's Express newspaper I've written a fun behavioural analysis feature about what your choice of Christmas party frock says about your personality... well, it can tell a lot about your inner self. Hee hee, that's one reason why I have wildly, differing eclectic range of styles - no one can work me out from my oddball selection of clothing.
Over to The Apprentice – yay - I'm so glad that Stella won! An inspirational working mother who came from nothing and proves that a lot of work and a steady character will take you places. What did I say six weeks ago about her? Lord Sugar had a soft spot for her.
Some have said the two finalists were the steadiest - and perhaps a touch boring - of the candidates. If you're running a business you want flippin’ 'steady', hard workers, who aren’t difficult to work out - or to work with.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if you've got an "edge" to your personality it's best to lose it at work if you want to get ahead. I've worked with many people who can’t quite get up to the next rung and sometimes it's about a side that’s defensive, arrogant, OTT, etc., that colleagues are wary of.
You can have 'Stella-r success' too and here's one tip to try: lie down in your bedroom, close your eyes, and think about the last time you felt uncomfortable at work. Run through what happened in your mind like you're watching a film. What did you say or do to a colleague and how did they respond? Try and see yourself objectively. Could you have come across as defensive or arrogant?
And for those doubters who think that men don't notice sexy knickers, there's a report in today's Sunabout how many love them! My advice? Undress for success...go on, have some fun and slip on a sexy set of undies. Get him some too - what's good for the goose is good and all that.
Was due to go out with the hubby and watch Milton Jones film a comedy programme for the Dave Channel last night but couldn't face the journey (bad wifey!) so watched a chick flick (The Holiday) with a pal - very Christmassy with the lights out except for the twinkling ones on the Christmas tree. Finally got it straight in the tree-holder!
Keep warm and cosy, hope you haven't been stranded, friends of ours lost out on their four-day treat-weekend to Berlin with their flights being cancelled, Pam X
