Red alert, when your partner is emotionally greedy, selfish in love...
Red alert - check out the ladies in red- in today's Sun newspaper I've written an article about celebrity women pictured in shades of scarlet to signal a big new phase in their life - usually that they’re moving on after a breakup. Check it out if you like gorgeous red frocks!
Summer tune alert: Loving Jai Paul‘s BTSTU– reminds me of a James Blake/Jamie Woon hybrid/fusion!
Okay, many people are wrapped up in themselves but there's a limit - and that limit was reached in the e-mail I answered for my weekly iVillage. co.uk blog that goes live today.
A woman I'll call ‘Chloe’ got in touch because in her relationship it's all about him - his footie team loses? He needs support! Chloe has a major problem at work? He brushes aside any conversation of it. Basically he's emotionally greedy - it's selfish love - very one-sided - but sadly all too common.
If your relationship is a one-way street like hers then check out my blog for advice.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: staying with that thought, though, one psychological technique you can use on a partner that demands your attention (yet gives you none) is the "blank wall" technique.
Step 1: When they say something to you about them having an issue/problem/dilemma literally blank what they say, and change the conversation to something entirely different.
Step 2: When they say, "Hey, you, I was talking about my issue with my bad back, boss, bank account, whatever," say something very noncommittal like, "Oh yes, but as I was saying," - and change back to the entirely different conversation.
Step 3: Of course the selfish partner will then demand to know what's going on and that gives you the opportunity to spell out that you don't like to be blanked when you want to discuss a problem.
Good luck!
Oops, the gorgeous and talented Myleene Klass has fallen for one of those photographer's lines, "Oh, but you'll look so sexy in this pose"...a photographer's obviously convinced her that to lie back with her legs open will look erotic (in today's Mirror newspaper) - sadly it looks more like soft porn. She'd look gorgeous perched on a chair in a little black dress so why has she fallen for this stunt?
Last night was a beautiful, sunny evening, perfect for drinks with a friend in Soho... off to work now, have a great day, Pamx
