Getting naked in front of her, beauty pageant hair, can-do attitude...
Ok, so what does a woman think when she sees you naked for the first time or early in your relationship? Well, a lot of things - from eyeing up your package (research shows she does this very quickly) to wondering if you feel nervous too.
I've written an article about the things women think about naked men that’s gone live on MSN’s Him Channel... check it out if you're a man interested in such things.
Brilliant to see pictures of Danny Baker receiving his Sony award - talk about a fighting spirit - wishing him well with his strugglee with throat cancer - what a star!
To iVillage UK where I had a tricky dilemma to answer on my weekly blog that's gone live today - about the powerful feelings ignited in a woman when her boyfriend's gone inside (prison). I once considered training as a forensic psychologist and working in prisons but didn't go that route and have only been inside once (obviously not for myself! Was visiting a psychiatric patient on remand who needed to be moved).
Avoiding any reports about The Apprentice until I can catch up this weekend - don't want to know who's been booted out!
To the topic of size does matter… at least it does in America where the attack of the giant here is taking over...and although Cheryl Cole's new big hair may raise eyebrows here it’s probably going down a storm. The bigger, the brashest, the most ‘blinging’ grabs the headlines and the average American loves it.
Big dreams have to be matched by big gestures and that may be where a string of other British talent has gone wrong trying to break America – they’ve only done things by half measure.
Although Cheryl's hair might look like a 1970s beauty-pageant-style 'do' to the more sophisticated British eye, America's a country of larger-than-life desires and the appetite that goes with those - from the biggest burgers to the biggest ‘baddest’ reputations (think of the super-sized meltdown of Charlie Sheen and how Americans couldn't get enough) people really do want the next big thing in any shape or form.
On the plus-side Americans do have big ‘can-do’ attitudes that sets them apart from other cultures... like ours that like to shoot people down when they reach the top of their game.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: That can-do attitude can be contagious when you're over there. And although sometimes it comes across a bit hollow what's the alternative? The can’t-do attitude - I know which I prefer.
If you're doubting yourself then start talking yourself up that you can-do whatever the challenge is. Research shows a positive attitude can help you gain about 10% in performance. Worth a shot.
Tomorrow I'll post a new "your e-mail of the week" so get yours in. And thanks for all your e-mails! Also have some good tunes to recommend - but must run into a long day of meetings before meeting a pal for early drinks tonight. Happy Wednesday, Pamx
