Simple kindness, finding love, don't scare the kids...
AMAZING to see triple amputee Mark Ormrod has reached Santa Monica California after crossing America with a number of other amputees to raise money for injured soldiers! A fantastic role model to us all. They have battled through all types of weather to get across the States - such bravery, courage and strength.
I'm going to post a new "your e-mail of the week" in a mo’. It's from someone I'm calling Tom and it's about an article of mine he read.
A survey out today says how much we love little kindnesses. It's like we crave the simple things and in the last chapter of my book How to be a Happy Human I make a big point about these little things.

I see Liam Neeson has found love again 19 months after losing his wife Natasha Richardson in a freak ski accident. Some people might say that's too soon but when you have the capacity to love again, is it? I hope he has the support of his family - as an agony aunt I hear frequently from family members who fear someone's rushing into love again after bereavement.
I remember taking my children to the first Harry Potter when they were only little - the new one (Harry Potter and the Deathly Shallows Part One) sounds like it might be too frightening for young children!
Don't scare your kids - make sure they're ready for it. You might scoff that it can't be all that frightening but I think we've allowed children to see far too many scary images. I believe the psychological studies showing this can be damaging.
Happy to hear Theophilus London on Radio one last night - I recommended the chilled out Brooklyn rapper about six months ago. Also great to hear Crystal Castles mentioned.
Enjoy your Friday - the weekend's nearly here! Sunday evenings won't be the same without Downton Abbey - can ITV possibly do anything new on Help I'm a celebrity - get me out of here?? Pam x
