Lasting love, to obey or not to obey, good tunes and a read...
The sun’s shining - a perfect start to a long weekend - hope you're enjoying the sun - if you love the sun but have sensitive skin like I do check out the Boots 50 factor hypoallergenic sunblock - wouldn't go out without it. And no, I don't have shares in Boots! It's just fab for sensitive skin.
Hopefully you're going to be with friends and family this weekend. I've just posted a new article on lasting love and affection... there's a lesson in it for us all. On my homepage click on "hot off the press".
If I say so myself one of my children and I have just made a fabulous birthday cake for the hubby - if you could live on cake then we would live very well. It's the one thing I can cook! It's a marbled vanilla and fudge cake with proper butter-cream icing... a heart attack on a plate.
It’s reported in today's papers Kate Middleton will not use the word ‘obey’ in her wedding vows - and so she shouldn't. Marriage - and any long-term relationship - is not about obeying. We don't live in the Stone Age.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: marriage should be about celebrating your love as equals – and your vows need to reflect that. If you wrote your own vows I'd love it if you e-mail them to me and I might post a couple for "your e-mail of the week". Get them in and I'll share a couple - would be lovely!
Looking for an unusual and touching read over the long weekend? Absolutely loving Emma Henderson's Grace Williams Says It Loud - Google it and get it.
Arctic Monkey’s new tune Don't Sit down Because I've Moved Your Chair is worth a listen! A few album recommendations for the long weekend: Chase & Status’s No More Idols, Tinie Tempa’s DiscOvery and Foo Fighters’ Wasting Light
Sending love and happy vibes your way, Pam x
