Feeling jealous that a friend found love, it's become a soap opera, long-distance love...
Hope your week’s started well – argh - could've done with another day off!
Has your best friend found love and you've found yourself feeling jealous? It's not uncommon - so you're not alone with such unpleasant feelings - in today's Daily Mail newspaper I've written about coping with this situation.
If you're interested in a celebrity roundup and relationships join me tonight at 1045 on Let's Talk Sex - there seems to be a constant stream of celebrity relationship stories in the press to discuss and learn from.
Wow, Downton Abbey's moving at a fast pace - it's become such a soap opera - Patrick Crawley returning after supposedly being lost on the Titanic?? So ridiculous that suddenly it's lost a bit of the magic from the first series.
Over to the X Factor and I wasn't surprised that Sami was voted off - Gary Barlow put it bluntly that she's a little bit old hat. He can be harsh at times and the judges keep using the excuse that the music industry is harsh to do so.
But this is in front of millions of people - and music industry deals are done behind closed doors with the artists and their managers- so sometimes I think they could soften the blows to the contestants.
If bullying accusations are true about contestant Misha B then it's good she's been outed as a bully. Bullying is a horrible scourge on our society. This could be the turning point for her to change.
TODAY’S TIP: with the recession I've had increasing numbers of e-mails about long distance relationships - people having to move to get a job. If you've got a long-distance love-thing my biggest tip is don't have huge expectations for the most amazing time ever for next time you're together.
It's easy to build things up - expecting it to be 100% perfect when you get together - and then the little things that crop up over weekends start niggling. Suddenly there's a bit of stress and it feels much bigger because you expected everything to be ‘hearts and flowers’.
Start your weekend together expecting some fun and it'll be great - you'll cope with any stresses and strains.
Start your weekend expecting the most amazing passion, fireworks, etc. - and you may just be disappointed.
Happy Monday, Pam x
