Don't panic, mums feel this way plus X Factor rivalries...
On my weekly agony slot on Dublin News talk radio after 11 today we've got a couple interesting dilemmas. One from a young father in a panic because after a difficult birth his wife has sworn off having any more children.
My answer to him? OMG, FEAR not, this is 99% sure to pass! By far the majority of women feel this way after their first child. It's a tremendous shock and thoughts of future babies fills them with horror quite naturally get vetoed.
It's the way biology protects a woman, particularly when she's had a difficult labour or pregnancy, by giving the message that "we can't do this again"
Believe me, over time, probably around two years after a baby is born a mother's awful memories will dim and her enthusiasm for another child will be reignited. It sure happened to me that way!
Rumours in many newspapers have it that the X Factor judges are feeling bitter rivalry towards each other… no surprise there. After all, these judges are going to have egos probably bigger than any of the most driven artists on that stage.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: what to do when you're in conflict with someone's ego at work?
Meet their bad behaviour with your good behaviour.
If you think it's going to go downhill then make a note of their bad behaviour toward you.
Always try and have a "witness" to their bad behaviour.
Finally, don't let their OTT rivalrous behaviour bring you down!
Going to a BAFTA screening of the film Ghost tonight based on Robert Harris's book, The Ghost Writer, that I loved. Yay, always look forward to the flicks.
Happy Tuesday… evidently research suggests this is one of the most unhappy days of the week for people - but that's not the case for you, Pam X
