Hair raising, obsessions and compulsions, ring me Sunday night on the radio...
It was fun commenting on celebrity hairstyles and colours in today's Sun newspaper - although I do lots of "serious" work it's wonderful to do some behavioural analysis... and those celebs provide many opportunities!
And don't believe it when people say your hair colour doesn't matter - it does - we're so quick to stereotype your personality based on your hair colour and/or style.
You must have heard about the mother-in-law who sent the critical e-mail to her daughter-in-law- to-be that's gone viral - I've been dos and don'ts for getting along with your mother-in-law in today's Express newspaper. If you're about to gain one already have one check it out for some practical advice.
The summer special I'm doing for BBC radio western regions has rolled around quickly - Sunday night you can ring me during the programme on 0845 301 1034, OR text 81333, start your message with the word 'LOVE'... can’t wait to hear from you!
I mentioned we're going to talk about obsessions and compulsions and fears and phobias for one of our topics... you may not have a full-blown problem but you might be borderline. I'm also going to ask people to ring in with their "lighter" obsessions.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I've got an obsession with lip gloss - I never leave home without one or two in my handbag, have one sitting on my desk, have one sitting where the TV remote is, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom...yup, I'm obsessed - hate having dry lips.
Would love to hear what your little obsession is - the sorts of things that don't cause problems but you definitely can’t do without.
Every Thursday I post a new "your e-mail of the week" - last Thursday I had so many people respond to the one I posted from Penny having slept with her friend and hoping for a relationship...it seems half the country has been there and done that.
Happy Friday, have a lovely weekend, Pam X
