Hazardous breakfast food and shy guys 'n girls...
Oops, said I was posting a new "your e-mail of the week" yesterday and forgot to do it. I've done it now and it's from Emma who thinks she's being messed about by a boyfriend.
Another oops, have just lost a chunk of filling on that very dangerous breakfast food… granary toast! Spoken to the dentist and I'm going to have it refilled on Monday - have to avoid hot and cold drinks and chewing on that side in the meantime. I can't cancel my meetings today otherwise I would be in the dental chair right now.
Good news if you're a shy guy or girl - looks like there might be a "cure" on the way for you. If you don't suffer from shyness you won't know how badly it affects people. I've worked with some socially inhibited people - who are so shy in destroys their life.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: there’s much you can do and the starting place is to start building your self belief and use very practical tips. A couple of my top practical tips? Learn deep breathing (not heavy breathing!) to relax your body as shy people tend to tense every muscle. And practice two subjects you feel happy to talk about - like your favourite CD and film. Definitely be ready to ask others questions about them - taking the social pressure and spotlight off of you.
Have a happy Friday! Pam X
