What she is thinking, body issues, protecting children...
My News: V happy to see my new monthly column launched on MSN UK's Him channel - each month I'll be writing about what "She really thinks when…" in other words I'll reveal the way a woman feels (or is likely to fail) about things that affect a couple. This month it’s about when he loses his erection.
Went to a brilliant fireworks party last night - luckily it was fine most of the evening and didn't get rained off - lots of yummy things to eat while we watched the display. But was sad not to have our annual party where each guest has to bring the biggest possible firework - we've had some amazing ones! ‘Stuff’ got in the way of us arranging one ourselves.
In the Saturday Times’ Weekend section today I've given a comment about how women in their 20s often have body image issues that keep them back from enjoying truly satisfying sex. If you're fretting about your body and it's detracting from enjoying sex with him - remember he's probably not worried about any lumps and bumps. We women are our own worst enemies! On my homepage there's a new "hot off the press" article from interview questions I answerered recently...tame stuff but some facts in there for you.
Had a big response to Emmaline’s “your e-mail of the week" - click on the Gold Star on my homepage if you want to e-mail me. Many people got in touch saying they had worried about the same thing - a friend or family member's harsh discipline for a child.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: this definitely has touched a nerve and I think many of us have felt uneasy about the way someone we know treats their child. And some of the e-mails I received were about other issues of basic care. .. it reminded me of the tragic McCanns who were in the press this week talking about raising more funds for their search for daughter Madeliene. I can’t imagine how they've tortured themselves over leaving her alone in what they thought was a safe holiday room.
I hope that at some point they stopped punishing themselves - we all need to forgive even the most traumatic of mistakes at some point.
Do you need to forgive yourself over something? I mentioned a few weeks ago that I needed to forgive myself for being grumpy a couple days running.
I'm forgiven - yay!
Off for a curry night at friends who have Indian heritage - they always cook the most amazing selection of dishes - feel very spoilt.
Then back to watch X Factor off the planner. Enjoy your Saturday, Pam X
