BBQ tunes, your fantasies, giving up secrets stashes....
Woot, having a barbecue today - which means I can chill out on while the hubby does the charring... I mean cooking!
It's just one of those things - he likes to do the BBQ... will have lots of summer tunes... Friendly Fires, The Vaccines, The Wombats, Ben Howard, Michael Kiwanuka, The Strokes, Example, Noah and the Whale – but nothing too lively...umm, but maybe later some Biffy, Foos, Kings, Blackout...and EVEN later some dubstep - Magnetic Man, Katy B, Nero, AND Modestep.
So my new fortnightly online Sun newspaper column went live late yesterday - it's all about how to share your secret fantasies - with lots of hot tips... It's under the "woman" section on the site.
A big report out yesterday shows how only two weeks of eating sugary snacks can put your heart in danger. A few months ago I massively cut down on sweets and chocolate - even though I stay fit I still didn't think it was good to carry on eating as many of those tasty treats as I have.
It's not easy and I was practically hallucinating about chocolate bars the first couple weeks - also had some headaches - probably the withdrawal from the sugar and caffeine that's in chocolate. But you can do it if you need to!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: the thing that helped me most was having a mint - or other herbal tea - after meals when I'd normally go for something sweet. When your pallet's used to having sweets after a savoury meal a herbal tea kind of tricks you into thinking you've had that extra something.
I also cleared all my secret stashes of sweets out of the house. And did various other things - I urge you to try if you need to give up sweets and chocolates the way I did.
Have a lovely Saturday Pam x
