The drama of X Factor resembling life, orgasms are scanned...
Relishing when I'll have the time to watch the final instalment of Downton Abbey - will be sadly missed - best drama ITV has done for ages.
But to the drama of the X Factor: So the lovely TreyC Cohen exited the X Factor last night – think she got a dud deal. There Katie collapses under the stress (or was it staged - looking at her body language it looked a bit contrived) and yet TreyC manages to pull off a moving version of Toni Braxton Unbreak My Heart and the judges send her to her fate.
Ok, so she isn't edgy - or even that exciting - but with her phenomenal voice plus some encouragement she could've crossed over the threshold and fashioned her own aura.
But Cowell-and-co figure that Katie makes better TV - well if she makes such great TV why does she keep landing herself in the bottom two?
Wow, Shayne Ward made a great comeback showing very few nerves - always love a good bit of Nickelback - he added a smooth vibe to it.
All of this is kind of like the ups and downs of real life - decisions don't always seem fair, people can mould their image (their outer-self) for the world, people disappear and come back, etc.
See the fascinating brain scan research into the female orgasm? Looks like we girlies have a complicated pattern of brain reactions. Then would you expect anything less from us?
Yay, started some Christmas shopping at the weekend - so organised and early for me. Yup, of course as a life coach I try and ‘practice what I preach’ - like being organised - but it's not always possible!
I'm keeping things small this year - not only has the recession bit but I’d rather spread a little love amongst my family and friends then get in debt ever presents.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: if you’re ready worried about Christmas and how much it might cost - definitely look at the inexpensive or free options.
Not only can you give a voucher for your time like to do something for someone (help them paint a room they've wanted to decorate for ages, etc.) But you can also do small things like buy something fun and inexpensive but then wrap it up beautifully and attach it to a card that says something touching and personal.
Something else for the girls: My tastes in make-up are like my tastes in music - a very mixed bag - there are some things (like my eye cream) I insist on being top-notch. But with other things I'm happy with the cheap and cheerful. So I have a new discovery to share - the Rimmel nail vanishes that smell like fruits - much nicer than the overwhelming chemical vapours of most varnish.
I was already a fan of their 60 Second varnishes that dry as quickly as they say. Most varnishes make that promise and fail to keep it. But 60 Second's perfect for someone like me rushing around at the last minute for meetings… what happened to organisational skills?
Happy Monday, Pam X
