Crazy Euro-pop, craziness in the world, new hook-ups...
I'm back from the slopes of Les Arcs/La Plagne in France - and if you're heading for the region for a bit of ski-action a word of warning: take your hiking boots the snow’s disappearing quickly!
Got to hear a lot crazy Euro-pop in the cafes and bars each evening... they just don't do pop the way we do! Thinking of music I got hold of The View’s Bread and Circuses album (non-pop!) just before leaving - worth a listen.
Then each night when back in our room we'd catch BBC world or CNN (no other flippin’ English speaking channels) and couldn't believe how daily a new country in the Middle East seemed to erupt in violence and more tragic tales of courage and loss emerged from stricken Japan.
To spring - it's officially spring and if you've just met someone new and are confused about their text messages/e-mails/Facebooking, my weekly blog on iVillage.co.uk is about this very issue... one woman's confusion may resonate with your own. Check it out if so.
On the one hand don't you just hate that confusion when you're not sure if they fancy you or not ... but on the other hand it’s exciting, too. Hope you're having fun and enjoying the ride if you’ve just hooked up with someone new.
So back in the UK today I see that the West End was under attack last night - one huge, peaceful, well-organised demo marred by the action of a few hundred idiots.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: With all the real destruction in the world from wars and earthquakes who do these people think they are with their mindless destruction? I hope they're caught and made to pay for all their damage.
I loathe mindless violence - were they doing it for a cause like those in the Middle East fighting for freedom? Heck no, and they don't care they ruined the demo for the 500,000 others. Because that's what yesterday's demo will be remembered for - their violence.
Rant over, I usually write a thought about how to live a little bit better... but not today obviously.
Thanks for all the "your e-mails of the week" - on Thursday, as always, I'll post a new one.
Enjoy your Sunday, Pam X
