Go on, make some new friends, plus could it be a catfight...
Check out my "hot off the press" area on my homepage - have put up a new article on jealousy.
Have you had to make a new friend recently? Recent research found that many 30, 40 and 50 somethings are having to strike out and make new friends after losing a job (and sometimes that means losing the friends at work), or moving for a new job because of the recession or because of divorce. I've written a piece in today's Daily Express newspaper about how to go about this.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: it can seem horrendously daunting meeting new friends but it's worth it. Along the way I've developed new friendships on top of the ones I've had since Uni days.
What's worse? Feeling too embarrassed to ask someone to meet up or feeling lonely? I'd always opt for asking someone to meet up. It might end up a one-off thing - or the beginning of a friendship.
That saying, "nothing ventured, nothing gained" wasn't invented out of nowhere!
Speaking of friendship, two women who are going to be friends are definitely Kelly Osbourne and Danni Minogue. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of an Osbourne! Kel's on the warpath after Danni's revelations about how Sharon Osbourne supposedly treated her at the X factor. Calm down, girls before it becomes a catfight!
Hmmm…Salt was an interesting cinematic experience. Angelina Jolie, beautiful as always, looked so thin and frail that all her stunts seemed completely unbelievable. It became ‘pantomime violence’ with her literally taking on the American CIA and Russian baddies as a one-woman band of carnage.
Unless you're a diehard Jolie fan (have a feeling the hubby is) don't bother.
Gotta run, check out the extra "your e-mail of the week" I posted on Saturday. It's easy to take part - click on the gold star on my homepage and then fire off your e-mail.
Note to Myleene Klass: congrats on expecting your second but don't believe it when they tell you that "two are as easy as one". Never has a myth of motherhood been more wrong! However two children also doubles your joy- so definitely worth it.
Happy Monday, Pam X
