Midlife crises...
Thank God BP are finally getting somewhere with the devastating oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico! Now when is someone going to make sure they, as a huge corporation, start doing things properly with their operations and don't risk any further environmental damage to our planet.
Listening briefly to Radio 4 this morning I heard them flag up Tim Robbins "midlife crisis" interview with Kirsty Young. Part of me hates to hear about celebrities with huge wealth and talent having such crises. They come across as spoilt - how much more do they want out of life anyway? But the other part of me realises that they are human just like the rest of us - and no matter what their material wealth or achievements they ask the same questions we do.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: and I found in researching my new book How to be a Happy Human that most of us are asking how can we be happier and more satisfied in our lives - the one life we're given and so often let waste away.
On the lighter side, absolutely loved Sweet Charity at the Haymarket on Friday night. Tamsin Outhwaite has far more strings to her bow then I realized and can deliver a comedy performance as well as sing. And the rest of the cast were so well cast - talented, quirky, gave their all. Highly recommend for a fun night out.
Now, off to enjoy a lovely big ysalady’ the Sunday lunch with family.
Have a great Sunday, Pam X
